Women’s Penny Loafer: Made to Order

My custom loafers are beautiful, but they aren’t perfect. The shoes are a little long in the toe — and not even in a “pointy” way as had been a trend — and even for a wide, they run narrow. Additionally, it took significantly longer to receive than what is stated on the website. I ordered them in February 2025 and finally received the final pair in August. There were delays getting the leather, so in order to get a pair sooner, I settled for a different type of leather. When they arrived in June, the right loafer was way too tight and it appeared they were stitched to a different width than the left shoe. It was unwearable as is, so I sent them back to Quoddy for a warranty repair. Two months later, the repaired shoe fits much better, but not as well as the left. Only time will tell, but I hope it stretches for a more comfortable fit.

Ive ordered a number of these loafers over the years, plus have had some refurbished. I love them. They're classic and I always get compliments when I wear them. Very comfortable. Highly recommended!

unfortunately i had a problem with the shoe size which is too big and cannot use it

Gosh, these loafers are gorgeous outside and in. I ordered the black with a strip of brown for the penny part. They are a little tight, as when I last ordered Quoddy loafers in 2015 I took a 9.5 and assumed I would still need that size. However, the sole of the new pair is clearly 1/4 inch shorter than that of the older pair and it is a bit narrower as well. I put this in my review in case it helps someone choose the right size the first time. Trust me, these are great looking and beautifully sewn shoes.

I ordered the black leather with saddle accents; handsome shoes! These will be a favorite.
