One of the benefits of purchasing handsewn Quoddy shoes is that when the sole wears out or a stitch gets loose, rather than toss them, you can have them resoled or repaired by the same skilled hands that built them.
When you choose our resoling service, we remove the old soles and replace them with new units (you can even change the color if you want). We also spruce up the leather and replace the laces. What you receive back is a pair of shoes that you may not recognize (except they already fit like a glove... and the service costs less than buying a new pair).
Depending on where you want your shoes sent, choose the U.S. or International repair package below and be sure to provide any special instructions in the box at checkout.
U.S. customers will be sent a prepaid UPS label that can be affixed to any box similar in size to a shoe box, and we will take care of the rest. After your confirmation email from Quoddy, you'll receive a separate email from UPS within one business day. To access the label, just click on the link in the UPS email when you are ready to ship (the link will expire in 30 days).
Note: International customers must cover their own shipping to our returns department in Maine, and we will cover return cost.
*Unfortunately, Crepe Wrap soles are no longer available. Instead we suggest our new Vibram NewFlex Wrap sole, available in Red, Black, Dark Brown or White. Please note your selection in the 'Special Instructions' field at checkout. Slippers cannot be resoled or refurbished.

Can't thank You enough for the beautiful job that your craftsman did on my 15 year old Grizzly Peanut Leather canoe shoes. A few of the side grommets had fallen off and wasn't sure if they could be saved....Received them back as good as new and ready for another 10 years...
Thank You Quoddy
Excellent Job
It may sound over the top or hyperbolic, but if everything were run as Quoddy runs, we’d all be ok. From communication, to product care and quality, Quoddy is as good as it gets. I couldn't be happier with the company, and truly do wish other company's would take notes and copy how Quoddy rolls. Aloha to the entire team.
I can’t believe I’m writing a bad reveiw on moccasins that were my absolute favorite beloved shoes. I sent two canoe shoes back - both fit absolutely perfectly and were incredibly comfortable. One of them in particular was my absolute favorite shoe of all time. Having both pairs back now, I‘m not kidding when I say that I can not wear them. I mean, I can not wear the shoes that were my go to perfect shoe of my lifetime. It hurts my heart haha.
After the first pair arrived I spoke with someone after not getting a reply to my email (something that seems normal according to the other reviews). I told them that the shoe is super tight and is like a completely different shoe than the one I sent in, and I can’t wear it. They said the new sole would break in and they’d put a note to use a thinner foam in the insole for the second pair. Well, that may have happened but regardless, they’re tight AF. I did a custom order for both to get the widest width and these post-refurbish versions are like the pairs I tried on before ever buying that made me realize I need the wide width. Tight and compression from the toe to the top of the vamp and the new insole makes my foot sit taller inside the shoe if that makes sense. And another reviewer mentioned pulling off the little leather “Quoddy” piece that they put on the bottom of the sole and seeing the Sebago label, I’m debating checking mine too.
Let me say that the quality of the refurbish is excellent though, I’m not trying to bash the…
