I wear Quoddy boat shoes that are perhaps 12 + years old . I believe they were made in Maine. I ordered the new pair thinking they would be the same. They are not and i believe the quality has suffered. They are probably made in a foreign country to a particular mold. The sizing is narrow. It was hard to get my foot into the shoe. I returned them.
Nice, and more moccasin-y -- a little bit lower profile -- than they look. (Is the photo stretched vertically?)
Soft like Sperry's but leather's not thin and squishy. Substantial like LL Bean's but leather's not thick and rigid.
