About The True PennyLoafer
This iconic New England style was invented in Norway, but perfected in Maine. The Quoddy version is built the traditional way with handsewn true moccasin construction for a glove-like fit. We start, as always, with best quality leathers and suedes. Then, a hand-built leather sole and heel are stitched to the upper, not glued, so that it remains supremely flexible, and infinitely resoleable. We take it a couple of steps further by razor siping the forefoot to enhance flexibility and traction, and adding a layer of natural cork in the heel for cushioning.
Roomy fit, we recommend a 1/2 size down from your usual size.
