Comfortable slippers marred by poor quality.
Bought a pair of these to replace a pair of slippers sold by a prominent pillow salesman that were falling apart after years of use. Wear these off and on for inside wear with the occasional walk into the garage or out back to toss boxes into the recycle bin. Owned them for about 2 months now, and the shearling is already coming out in chunks, or is matted from being compressed when I walk. I don't do house work in them, I merely wear them to keep my feet warm and protected toes from being stubbed as I walk around the house. The suede is not treated and any amount of water will stain them, causing them to develop ugly spots all over the top of them. To add insult to injury, the outsole in the toe area on the left slipper doesn't seem as adhered to the shoe, and can be separated just slightly enough to see the stitching holding the shoe together and I can feel a thread inside the shoe with my toes.
I'd really like to love these slippers, but I genuinely don't know what Quoddy was thinking asking for $150 for a pair, and being okay with this level of quality. Incredible.
