Awesome boat shoes
These are the nicest, most comfortable boat shoes I've ever had. I've worn boat shoes for 15 years, usually a new pair every 2-3 years as the sole wears out, mostly Sperry or Sperry Gold Cup, but I've tried a couple of other brands, like J Crew and Sid Mashburn. These beat them all. First, the comfort underfoot is the best I've had. Second, the leather inside is just the right balance of softness (some have been rough and stiff, and gold cups feel almost too soft and end up making my feet feel greasy). Third, this is the nicest-looking leather I've seen in boat shoes. The only other shoes I have with leather this rich looking are a pair of Red Wings boots and a pair of Ferragamo loafers; it's not too shiny and has a nice depth to it. Lastly, I'm making the effort to buy things that don't support human misery and slave labor. That means as much of the materials and the assembly are made in America or somewhere with livable pay for the workers (like Europe). These being made in America makes me happy every time I have them on my feet. Vote with your dollars! These are truly a great product that I wish I had bought sooner. I can't see myself buying anything else but Quoddy from now on, and I already ordered my wife a pair.
