Since you asked, I am going to be honest...
As Quoddy can see, I have been a loyal customer for many years. Prior to placing this order, the most recent order was for a men's size 7.5 shoe, which fits perfectly. Using common sense, when ordering a new pair of shoes, let alone, 2 new pairs of shoes, specifically the M Danny and the M Bobby, there would be no reason to NOT order the same size that worked so well with the immediate prior order. Thus, I ordered the two shoes in this order in size 7.5. I fully understood that this was a final sale and respect that, but I had no reason to think that the size 7.5 would be a mistake. It clearly was. The 7.5 fit for these two shoes could not be more different than the perfect 7.5 fit with the previously ordered Quoddy's Blucher shoe. Upon reaching out to Quoddy, I received the following response "The shoes were purchased from our Quoddy Closet Clearance section, so they are not eligible for return. They can be sent in for the fit adjustment service, but with this type of sole the stretch will be minimal." I also realize that the Blucher's are different shoes from the Danny and Bobby shoes, but I am writing this review to make other purchasers aware that they should not assume the size designation is accurate based on other Quoddy shoes that they may have purchased. Upon placing a new and separate order in size 8 for the M Bobby shoes, they have arrived and fit perfectly.
