I bought my 1st pair of Quoddy mocs over 20 years ago and resoled once. The new ones look as good and are a little bit more comfortable. I wear my mocs everywhere, in and out doors. Looking forward to many more years on comfort.
My order took a little longer than the 8 - 10 weeks due to waiting for a material order to come in. That did not matter to me, as they were well worth the wait. Right out of the box, they looked great and fit perfectly! They are so comfortable (I am wearing them right now, as I type this review). I can tell that the break in period will be very short. I like the fact that I can resole them when needed and get additional life out of them. This is the concluding pair in my trilogy (Grizzly mocs, Camp boot and Tracker - all double soled). I could not be happier.
If you haven’t ordered a pair of Quoddy’s yet, you are really missing out! These are my second pair and are my go to shoes everyday. Super comfortable shoes and worth every cent. Having previously purchased a custom made to order pair of Canoe shoes in all brown several years ago and am still wearing them almost daily (many years of life left in them) around the house and yard, I decided to get something else but slightly different. For the record, when I leave the property I wear Danner Fort Lewis boots ($$$$) and have been since 1976. I'm on my 15th pair of them. Creature of habbit? Guilty as charged.
This time I went with an all black pair of the Mens Grizzly Moc shoes.
I am super impressed by these. Zero break in time. Perfect fit and supurb workmanship. I examined these closely looking for anything out of place and found nothing. That's rare for me as I can usually find something out of place on just about anything. Kudos to whoever made these.
This is my first pair of (almost) 'true' moccasins and I love them. I have already mentioned the quality but the feature that stands out the most for me is the all leather soles. Amazing feel and comfort ... right out of the box. Almost like wearing socks. I can't imagine that it gets any better than this.
Will I be wearing these in the yard? Nope. I'm sure I could if I chose to but I will be treating these like slippers. These will never be worn anyplace but in the house or out on one of the decks. If I have to go into the yard, I will switch bach to the Canoe shoes.
It should be obvious by now that I really like these and can recommend these without any hesitation.
A little pricey? Maybe. Quality…
With one exception the mocs are exactly what I wanted. I expected them to be the same color as the soles. Instead they are dark brown. Otherwise, they are wonderful! I also wish to again thank your wonderful representative who allowed me to change to a different size after my initial order. She handled it perfectly!
