In Stock Men’s Runabout Shoe: Whiskey

I've been a boater for 40 years and have worn every type and brand of shoes during that time. The quality of these shoes is the best I've seen. The leather is the best you'll see and the soles grip the deck the way you want them to and need them to on a wet, pitching deck. The shoes from China are incrementally slipping in quality as companies try to improve profits by cutting costs. I've had good boat shoes that eventually wore out and when I went to buy the same shoe, it was obviously NOT the same shoe. Kudos to the Maine producers for holding the line on quality even if it means they have to adjust the price. If you buy a Quoddy shoe, you will not regret it.

Great product, comfortable fit (slightly smaller than usual shoe size, but eventually leathers softens) and will be purchasing again in the future.

I am wearing these shoes for the first time today. Only a few hours in, here are my thoughts:

1. They look absolutely fantastic. The look on is even better than on the website.

2. The quality is excellent. Clean stitching, quality Vibram sole, premium leather.

3. Comfort- good, but here is where they lose 1/2 a star. The leather is quality, but unlined and not super soft. Could not describe as supple. I don’t think that’s what they’re going for in a boat shoe, so no concern from my standpoint, but I did think they’d be a little softer.

I love these shoes. I have had them for about one year now. They are comfy to wear all day, and look great. Sizing is spot on for me; I wear a 7.5 in the Quoddy boat shoe and got the same size for this shoe, which I wear barefoot in warmer months.

I love the look and the comfortable fit of this shoe!
