High quality, fit like a glove
Our staple slip-ons are the pair you’ll wear on repeat. We suggest leaving by the door for easy access. They’re built to mold to your feet and crafted to last in pull-up or pebbled leathers. We sew each shoe by hand in traditional moccasin construction for superior comfort and durability. Uppers are finished with rust-resistant lacquered eyelets, rawhide laces and our full lace that adjusts for a secure fit. Our wedged camp Vibram® rubber outsoles provide enhanced traction on wet or dry surfaces.
*Please keep in mind some upper materials may be worn beyond repair. What you receive back is a pair of shoes that you can wear for years to come. (Environmentally friendly and obviously costs less than buying a new pair).
Fit Notes: True to size, heel slippage should be adjusted with the lacing system.

High quality, fit like a glove
A great all around versatile shoe for daily wear. Pretty much the same shoes I wore growing up in the 60's and 70's. The leather is soft and supple including the insoles and the outsoles are sturdy making the shoes very comfortable. The quality of these shoes is obvious and the workmanship is impeccable. The only caveat is the sizing - they tend to run a little narrow. I have a small bunion on my right foot, and as a result the size 11D, which normally fits well, was a little tight over the instep of my right foot. After about 5 days of stuffing a lacrosse ball into the right shoe and wearing them for 2-4 hours a day , they have broken in nicely. I look forward to many years of enjoying these classic, workhorse shoes and anticipate they will only get better with age. Many thanks to Quoddy for keeping the proud tradition of handmade Maine craftsmanship alive. By the way, their customer service is very good. Proud and honored to support them!
Best canoe shoe I've ever worn. Vibram sole which (hopefully) will hold up better than the others, a padded insole which is extremely comfortable, and a (completely) leather lined interior which is butter soft. They broke in after one day. Quoddy is a superior product!
This is a great shoe but it runs 1/2 size big.
I was hoping for comfort right out of the box however not to be found. Looks like there is a break in period. Maybe that is to be expected with quality shoes. I did call customer service regarding tightness across the instep and was advised I could return them for service. I did the “service” myself which seems to be working. Three stars now, two more perhaps later.
