Torrent Half boot

A strange looking item and as it’s summer in Australia have only tried them on. However they seem comfortable and particularly good for wet muddy grounds, where I have to walk my little dog. Roll on Winter when I’ll have them on every day.

Ouch

Wanted to love these because it’s a good looking boot and just what I wanted but while the ankle is leather wrapped it is thin, stiff, and at the perfect height to uncomfortably rub in the back while walking. Wore these for the first time on a 30 min walk with my dog and the 2nd half of the walk was miserable. By the time I got home there was a spot on the back of both of my legs that was red, pealing, painful, and close to bleeding. I was wearing a thick pair of hiking socks too. Also when I knelt down to take my dogs collar off and my foot was bent the point where the leather meets the rubber at the front dug painfully into my toes. Maybe both issues will get better with wear but I’m going to need to heal before trying these again. This is my 5th or 6th pair of Quoddys and they are always fantastic but these just aren’t working for me.
